Into a mainstream food audience.

BBC Good Food (owned by Immediate Media) featured Reewild's carbon-calorie recipe collection — bringing the reward-better-choices thesis in front of a national food-and-drink audience for the first time.

The feature

A recipe collection with a footprint.

In April 2023, BBC Good Food published a carbon-calorie recipe collection — recipes rated by their environmental footprint alongside their nutritional profile. Reewild's data and framing sat behind the collection.

For a young consumer proposition, the win was less about traffic and more about context: the reward-better-choices thesis sitting inside one of the UK's most trusted food editorial brands, in front of readers who cook every week.

The carbon-calorie recipe collection

Published by BBC Good Food, April 2023. The collection introduced readers to the idea of a recipe's carbon score sitting alongside its calorie count — and rewarded the choices that hit both.

Why it mattered

The Immediate Media relationship starts here.

Immediate Media owns some of the largest food and lifestyle titles in the UK: BBC Good Food, BBC Gardeners' World, Radio Times. Together the portfolio reaches around 21 million UK adults every month — more than one-third of the country.

The 2023 recipe feature seeded the relationship. In the years since, that relationship has deepened into a formal media inventory arrangement — one of the pieces of commercial infrastructure now backing the Vela platform.
